Nothing is impossible in this digital age, and that means answering online surveys for money is just a matter of patience, honesty, and a few clicks.
After countless hours answering surveys, researching dozens of companies (and getting scammed out of a few), I now have a long list of all the survey sites I earned and learned from.
This article is about the former. It entails the best legit companies and websites in Canada that have paid me for my opinions.
But just a quick reminder: answering surveys will not make you wealthy and should not constitute a full-time job.
Instead, they will earn you decent extra cash, gift cards, vouchers, airline miles, and maybe even a cryptocurrency coin.
So, if the tone of earning several bucks daily while sitting at home answering surveys sounds good to you, these are the sites that’ll play music to your ears.

19. Surveytime

Surveytime is a rather interesting online service. Unlike most survey websites, they offer a fixed payment for all surveys, which is $1.
Regardless of whether you take a 5-minute or a 30-minute survey, you will earn $1 for completing it.
The website does not implement a minimum payout threshold. If you want to claim your $1, you can do so instantly.
They pay cash, so you don’t have to be confused with points and conversions. They’re also pretty good at finding relevant surveys that match your profile.

Some surveys last for a minute, but others can take up to 30 minutes. Nonetheless, the longer the surveys you participate in, the more points you earn.
One downside to it, as with a lot of paid survey sites in Canada, is its high payout threshold. You will need at least 25,000 points or $25 before you can cash out.
22. Rewards1
Average Payout: $0.3 to $2 per survey
How to Earn:
- Taking Paid Surveys

Rewards1 is not as popular as most of the paid survey sites in Canada, but it’s actually a pretty good online service to earn decent money.
It also uses a point system, and each survey earns around 30 points ($0.3) to 200 points ($2). However, some of the surveys are only available to a certain demographic.
Nonetheless, the payout threshold is relatively low at $5. They also offer a custom payment method.

One thing I like about ViewFruit is that it displays all the readily available surveys you can take along with the points you will earn from each.
Most surveys will let you earn 100 to 400 points or $0.2 to $0.8, respectively. It’s a little low than what other sites offer, but you earn three Lucky Draw entries after completing a survey.
Even if you don’t qualify for a survey, ViewFruit will still reward you with one entry for answering the pre-survey questionnaire.
The prizes on the Lucky Draw vary from one country to another, but the most popular ones are iPhones or extra cash.

Payment Method:
- PayPal
About the Service:
Opinion Inn offers a $10 sign-up bonus for new users. It also has a relatively high payout per survey at $2 to $6, but the minimum payout threshold is $25.
Nonetheless, you can probably earn this in a week or so. Your first withdrawal will most likely take a month or two because of the verification process.
But after that, succeeding redemptions will take less than 10 days. However, I found that most of their surveys are tailored to specific professions.

Tellwut is one of the lesser-known online survey sites based in Canada. It’s very easy to use and offers brief to long-form surveys.
If you’re redeeming gift cards, you only need 4,000 points or the equivalent of $10. On the other hand, a $25 PayPal cashout requires 11,000 points.
30. Online Panel NET
Average Payout: $0.4 to $1.5 per survey
How to Earn:
- Complete Surveys
- Complete Tasks
- Micro Jobs
Payment Method:
- PayPal
About the Service:
Although Online Panel NET claims you can earn $4 per survey, I found these opportunities to be quite rare.
Most of them pay 400 to 1,500 points and take 10 to 15 minutes to complete. You will need 10,000 points or $10 to cash, and the payment is sent automatically to your PayPal account.

Unfortunately, there’s no option yet to redeem your rewards in cash, but you can choose from various gift cards including Amazon, Tim Hortons, Air Miles, and Virtual Visa Prepaid Card.
Most surveys take 10 to 15 minutes, and you’d need around 1,000 points to redeem a gift card. However, it may take up to seven days to receive it via email.
Bonus Sites:
Here are some other non-survey sites you may want to try for a passive income.
33. Honeygain
Average Payout: $0.7 per day
How to Earn:
- Data Gateway
Payment Method:
- PayPal
About the Service:
Honeygain will not pay you for your opinion, unlike the other survey sites on this list. Nonetheless, I still think it’s a rather useful online side hustle, which is why it’s on the list.
It’s a third-party app you can install on your mobile phone or computer. It uses 10% of your bandwidth and offers it to businesses and private individuals as a proxy server.
Honeygain then pays you $0.10 for every 1 GB of data used on the proxy server. You only have to download the app and let it run in the background.
The more devices you use the app on and the faster your internet speed is, the more you earn from the site.

The app is available on iOS and Android devices.
FAQs About Canadian Online Surveys
Do paid survey sites really work?
Yes! Paid survey sites have been around for decades, and millions of people worldwide have been using them to earn extra cash in their free time.
However, I also ask you to be cautious because not all survey sites are honest and ethical.
Some of them may sell your information to big companies or won’t pay you for your participation. In the worst cases, some survey sites will solicit money and scam you.
The best thing to do is to research a survey site or visit my website to stay updated about new and old market research companies before signing up for their database.
What is the average pay per survey in Canada?
The pay per survey depends on its length and the company offering it. On average, you can expect to earn $1 to $3 on a 10- to 20-minute survey.
Nonetheless, other offerings are also worth checking as some sites also source focus group participants and one-on-one interviewees.
These studies last longer than online surveys but pay significantly higher.
Which survey site pays the most?
The top-paying sites in Canada are Branded Surveys, Opinion Outpost, PineCone Research, Survey Junkie, Reward XP, and Opinion Inn.
If you search online, some sites will claim that their surveys pay $5 to $10 each, but based on my research and personal experience, these are extremely rare.
The companies above are the best paid survey sites because not only do they pay above average, but the surveys are also widely available.
Are paid survey sites worth it?
Generally, paid surveys are worth it, but that depends on what you’re looking to get out of them.
If you’re looking for a full-time income to sustain your lifestyle, these survey sites aren’t going to cut it.
However, if you just want to be more productive in your free time and earn a few bucks, you got what you’re looking for.
How much can you realistically make doing online surveys?
The money you make from paid surveys depends on how much time you’re willing to spend on them per day.
The availability of the surveys and how much each of them pay will also affect your earnings, but in general, you can probably make at least $50 per month.
Some users who really invest their time on the best paid survey sites earn $100 to $200 a month.
Do I need to be from a specific country or have experience in a certain field to answer surveys?
The pool of online surveys is very diverse. Some survey sites only allow users from a certain country. Maru Voice Canada, for instance, only accepts residents from Canada.
Additionally, the surveys may have their own restrictions regarding location, age, gender, and profession.
It’s best to look for survey websites that cater to the demographics you belong to or find surveys meant for the general public.
How do I find online paid surveys?
More often than not, a quick search of “online paid surveys” on Google will lead you to numerous websites offering paid online surveys.
However, this doesn’t guarantee that they’re legitimate sites. To find the ones where you can make money, just refer to my list above.
Be sure to regularly visit my website as well since I regularly upload lists and reviews of all the best survey companies you can find online.
Conclusion
That concludes our list of the best paid survey sites in Canada. As you can see, earning money online and right in the comfort of your own home is not impossible.
The best thing to do is to find multiple survey sites that pay decent money (make sure they’re legit, too!), and start answering surveys you qualify for.
As always, visit my website frequently to learn more about the best online side hustles out there.
