If there is one thing I love more than earning money, it’s eating. Can you blame me? I can’t help it; I’m a dude.
And while I enjoy exploring different cuisines from time to time, I always find myself going back to my tried-and-tested favorites—fast food.
Do you know what’s even better than eating? Eating for free, of course!
They say that there is no such thing as a free dinner, but there is, especially from McDonald’s.
In this article, I will share with you six ways to get a free McDonald’s gift card.
This way, you might even get the chance to treat your friends or have some free GCs saved for your next game or binge-watching night.
Why Do Market Research Companies Give Out Free Gift Cards?
I love taking part in market research opportunities, whether it’s only a quick survey or a two-hour focus group discussion.
There is always something empowering in having your opinion noticed by your favorite brand. You get plus points if you were able to influence their next business decisions.
That said, I do acknowledge that not everyone enjoys doing so.
Market research companies are aware of that, too. That’s why they offer enticing prices in exchange.
This results in a triple-win situation.
First of all, McDonald’s wins because it is a great opportunity to market its brand.
Secondly, it is the participant’s win because, well, who doesn’t want a free meal?
Finally, it’s also the brand’s victory since they will be able to associate themselves with the participant’s experience in eating that meal.
For instance, suppose that you have won your GCs by answering a quick survey on, say, a ketchup brand.
Wouldn’t you remember their product as you’re eating your cheeseburger?
6 Ways To Get Free McDonald’s Gift Cards
I know you are probably worried about what you need to do to get your free GCs.
Don’t worry; most of the methods I will share below only take a few minutes to complete.
In fact, you won’t even have to get out of your pajamas to do them.
1. By Answering Surveys
One of the fastest and easiest ways to get free gift cards from McDonald’s or any other participating business is to answer surveys from reputable market research companies.
There are a lot of market research companies today that solely focus on creating surveys and related questionnaires for companies.
Some have even expanded to apps you can easily download and access on your phone so that you can answer them at any time.
These companies will then reward you with points you can redeem for gift cards, McDonald’s GCs included.
2. By Referring Other People
Those who are not fans of answering surveys can refer their friends instead. And, no, you don’t even have to refer them to survey companies.
There are other market research companies out there tirelessly looking for new participants.
Maybe you have a friend who’s already intrigued by how you are getting so many GCs.
The best thing about earning GCs through referrals is that many of these companies repeatedly give GCs for as long as your referrals remain active.
This means you can get multiple GCs from a single person. What more if you refer dozens of them?
3. By Watching Videos
Surveys are not the only online tasks you can do. Some market research companies also give rewards by watching videos.
Most of them are ads, but there are clips that present sneak peeks of new products, services, packaging, and features every once in a while.
4. By Reading Emails
These are not as popular as they were when I started years ago, but email programs still exist if you know where to find them.
This method is similar to the previous one, but you’ll get emails instead of videos.
The points given per email received are a bit lower than what you’d get watching videos, taking surveys, or doing other online tasks.
It’s understandable, though, since you don’t have to do anything other than just wait to receive those emails.
5. By Playing Games
Here’s a fun way to earn your GCs. Just look for market research companies that offer rewards in return for beta testing new games.
Most of the games you will play are probably not as enjoyable as Fortnite or GTA, but hey, at least you’ll get free burgers in return.
6. By Shopping
Finally, there are cashback and rebate apps that reward you for shopping.
You might want to check with your credit card company, as well. Such opportunities allow you to convert points into GCs.
Now that you know the different ways to earn a free McDonald’s gift card, you’re probably asking: “Where can I find these opportunities?”
For that, I’ve got your back. I actually have a lot of opportunities lined up that can help people earn free GCs.
I’m also proud to say that most of them give their participants the option to choose what type of GCs to redeem.
In other words, you’re not limited to earning your weekly fill of Big Mac. Instead, you can choose to get Amazon, iTunes, Starbucks, and my personal favorite, Xbox gift cards!
The problem is that these opportunities tend to run out pretty quickly. That’s why I recommend signing up for my newsletter.
This way, you will always stay updated and even get first dibs on the latest offers.
Complete the Experience
You can probably tell that I’m not the best person to consult about healthy food choices.
However, I am the right person to ask where to get meals for free, especially from McDonald’s.
Here’s a quick tip: Don’t limit yourself to just redeeming fast food GCs alone. Instead, redeem a combination of different GCs to complete the experience.
For instance, why don’t you get a Netflix or a Sony PlayStation GC along with your McDonald’s GC?
This way, you’ll be able to enjoy a form of entertainment atop your free meal. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like the perfect Friday night to me.
The best part? It’s completely free!
