My Soap Box Rating

Share post:

Do you sometimes find yourself bustling with ideas on how to improve the brands, products and services you enjoy daily?

Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could let them know what these are and benefit from the same changes you came up with?

That was the same idea I had when I started answering online surveys for fun and, later on, for the perks.

The problem was, of all the online communities dedicated to market research out there, which one should I join?

That was when I stumbled upon the survey company I will review: the mySoapBox website. Specifically, I will answer the question “Is My Soap Box legit?” once and for all.

What Is My Soap Box?

My Soap Box is an online community dedicated to bridging the gap between people who wish to share their opinions and experiences and the brands, products and services that need them.

They are not the run-of-the-mill survey site or company that shares random questionnaires you probably won’t even care about.

After all, they are part of the more renowned market research group of companies, the Interviewing Service of America.

Is My Soap Box Legit?

One of the first places that I check out to determine the legitimacy of any market research company is the Better Business Bureau. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any information about the mySoapBox website itself.

Hence, instead, I decided to check its parent company, the Interviewing Service of America.

Here’s what I found: while the company isn’t BBB accredited, it does have an A- rating. It is a great score considering that they are made up of multiple companies and divisions.

These include Q-Insights (a company dedicated to discussion panels), I Can Make It Better (an all-in-one insight platform that offers solo and group interview opportunities), and SoapBox Sample (a company strictly dedicated to sampling and product testing).

How Does My Soap Box Work?

Of course, the best way to determine whether a company is legitimate is to try them out. This way, I’ll also be able to share with you the process of how they work.

Step 1: Join the Community

The first step towards joining the My Soap Box online research community is filling up their sign-up form.

It’s very straightforward and will only require your basic information, such as your name, country, zip code, and date of birth. Any consumer who is based in Canada and the United States may join.

Step 2: Start Sharing Your Opinion

Congratulations! You may now take part in their available surveys to start earning your points.

Step 3: Redeem Your Points

You may redeem your rewards once you have accumulated enough points. My Soap Box offers a wide selection of online gift cards you can choose from: Wal Mart Gift Cards, Amazon, Starbucks Gift Cards, and Whole Foods, just to mention a few of the e vouchers they offer.

How to Earn Money With My Soap Box

Unfortunately, My Soap Box only offers gift cards right now. If you wish to earn income in the gig economy by answering surveys, then they’re probably not the best website to join

You might want to check out the alternative marketing research websites I’ll feature below instead.

Other Survey Sites to Check Out

The following survey companies are among the best sites to check out if you wish to get paid actual money.

One of the things that I really appreciate about LifePoints is the fact that they are a global online community.

Unlike My Soap Box, you can be one of their consultants regardless of where you are based in the world.

More importantly, you can earn their virtual currency, LifePoints, each time you complete one of their online surveys and exchange them for actual money via Paypal.

I won’t be able to give you an estimate of your potential earnings on LifePoints.

After all, the points you’ll be able to earn will depend on various factors, such as the client or brand, the length of the online surveys you’re taking, and the current demand.

Don’t worry, though. You have up to three years to accumulate your earnings before your LifePoints expire.

Opinion Outpost

Opinion Outpost is another alternative online survey site that allows you to earn money by answering questionnaires.

They have two payout options: Paypal and their own virtual VISA prepaid card. On average, their community of survey participants earns over $350,000 per month.

What I love most about this survey site is its wide spectrum of niches and industries. You’ll never get bored scrolling through their survey opportunities.

Finally, you may also complete their online jobs while on the go since you may access their platform via desktop and portable digital devices.

Stan’s Gigs

I consider signing up for multiple market research companies to share my insights on products, services, and sometimes even jobs and events to be a great professional decision.

It allowed me to get paid by completing surveys, taking part in focus groups, receiving phone calls, and all in the comforts of my room. I don’t need to show up in person.

What’s more is that I can get to write about my experiences and share my advice with anyone. After all, you don’t have to be a professional to do this. You won’t need any training or special ability.

Here’s when I decided to establish Stan’s Gigs, a website dedicated to sharing the best research-related online job opportunities with other people.

Joining my community is easy. You don’t even need to fill up any form. All you need to do is sign-up for my newsletter, and you’re all set.

Is My Soap Box Legit: The Verdict

There’s no question that My Soap Box is a legit company. They are on the Better Business Bureau and owned by a renowned company. I have also tried their services myself.

That said, if you’re looking for a market research platform to join to earn more money, it might not be the best option for you as they only compensate with gift cards.

I invite you to sign-up for my newsletter to access alternative opportunities instead. I always update my list of online research jobs, from survey opportunities to focus groups, from phone call interviews to product testing.
