Opinion Champ Rating

2.5/5

Opinion Champ is a market research agency that’s part of the Quest Global Research Group. They are a legitimate site that connects interested respondents to various study opportunities. However, they lack certain aspects, such as providing more information about the company and promptly responding to member complaints. As such, I give them three out of five stars.

Here’s the deal: I want to be in full control of how I spend my time. I hate wasting it.

Hence, it really came as no surprise to my friends and family when I decided to earn online.

It’s also why I decided to join online communities of respondents. It gives me the freedom to still earn money even during the odd pockets of spare time I have during the day.

The question is, which survey should I work with out of all the available options out there?

Hence, I have started my series of reviewing the most popular market research platforms out there.

That said, I want to dedicate this article to be my Opinion Champ review.

What Is Opinion Champ?

Opinion Champ is a market research agency with its own growing online community of respondents.

They are part of the Quest Global Research Group. Their main services can be divided into three categories: surveys, product reviews, and focus group discussions.

Upon first glance, their website seems to be legit. It looks neat, professional, and credible.

However, one of my primary concerns is that they don’t provide a lot of information, especially about their company, from the get-go.

This can be quite troubling. After all, there are a lot of “survey companies” of ill repute out there.

These scam sites work to get consumer opinion but don’t live up to their promised rewards.

Opinion Champ Review: Is It Legal?

Since Opinion Champ has provided limited information about their company through their website, I went out of my way to check whether they are even listed in reputable review channels.

My first stop is the Better Business Bureau. Sadly, I have found that they weren’t listed.

However, they are listed at Trustpilot. They currently have a rating of 2.3 out of 5 stars.

My final stop was Yelp. They were not listed there, either.

I asked my friends within the marker research community, and I have gotten mixed opinions.

They view Opinion Champ as a legitimate agency, but plenty of other survey companies are better than them.

What Are People Saying About Opinion Champ?

To give you a better view of the pros and cons of Opinion Champ, allow me to share some of the customer feedback it has received from various platforms.

Here’s one from TrustPilot:

Overall experience is bad….You don’t receive credits after completing the survey..I completed a survey and in the end after successful completion of survey I haven’t got any credits..

Here’s another comment coming from a blog site:

You must earn 1,600 Reward Points before you can redeem any rewards! You need 16 dollars in order to cash out 5.

They are very valid concerns. Sadly, I couldn’t find any response from Opinion Champ. It would have been nice to hear what they had to say to explain themselves.

While I am not defending them in any way, I just want to say that based on my experience, surveys have two parts: a qualifying questionnaire (that seeks to determine whether you’re part of the demographic that the brand is looking for) and the actual survey.

These two can sometimes be difficult to tell apart, especially if you’re still new to market research participation.

As for the second feedback, please take note that reward conversion rates may vary according to one’s location.

In addition, it is common for survey companies to have low rewards and high payout thresholds.

How Does Opinion Champ Work?

In the end, the best way to determine whether Opinion Champ is legitimate is to sign up for their community.

Doing so allowed me to find out how Opinion Champ also worked.

You’ll find their step-by-step process below.

Step 1: Ensure Your Eligibility

The first step toward being a part of the Opinion Champ panel is determining your eligibility.

Opinion Champ is only open to respondents from Canada and the US for now.

There are also times when they don’t have an available member slot, such as when I tried to click on their “Join Now” button today.

I only got this pop-up message:

Please be informed that they don’t allow the use of a VPN as well. Hence, trying to sign-up for Opinion Champ outside the eligible territories would be in vain.

Step 2: Register as a Member

Those who are eligible may already proceed with the registration.

As mentioned above, you only need to click on the “Join Now” button located at the upper right corner of their homepage.

This will lead you to their sign-up page. Fill out the form and wait for the verification email.

Step 3: Complete Your Profile

Once you have logged into your Opinion Champ account, the next step is completing your profile.

This will serve as Opinion Champ’s reference in looking for the most suitable research opportunities for you.

I understand how tedious Opinion Champ’s profile requirements are.

After all, it has nine detailed sections you need to fill out as accurately as possible if you really want to boost your chances of getting regular survey invitations.

Step 4: Participate in Studies

You should expect to start receiving your invites to online surveys soon enough.

In addition, you also have the option to search for available paid surveys directly from your member dashboard.

You will notice that the average duration of your preferred survey, as well as the number of points you can potentially earn, will already be listed.

Completing surveys will automatically credit your Opinion Champ points to your wallet.

Step 5: Redeem Your Reward

You must accumulate at least 1,600 points to redeem rewards. Opinion Champ offers two forms of compensation: Paypal and gift cards.

Feel free to access the Rewards page from your member dashboard to see the complete list of available gift cards.

How to Earn Money With Opinion Champ

As I have already mentioned above, there are three ways to earn money through Opinion Champ.

You can answer surveys, write product reviews, and participate in focus groups.

The more effort it takes to complete a task, the more Opinion Champ points you’ll earn.

Here’s a quick tip if you want to boost your earnings further: While Opinion Champ doesn’t have its own mobile app yet, it is possible to answer surveys while you’re on the go.

That’s because their platform is fully optimized to work on a mobile browser.

The more surveys you answer during your free time, the more points you’ll get.

I also like the fact that most of their survey questions are easy to answer.

They’re very straightforward. Participating in surveys through Online Champ can even feel like a passive income pursuit at times.

Alternative Market Research Agencies to Check Out

Indeed, there are plenty of potential market research opportunities that await members of Opinion Champ.

However, I still believe that we can all agree that checking out alternative survey websites will be ideal if one wants to further increase their earnings.

Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie is a great platform to check out if you’re looking for a market research agency with plenty of survey-related earning opportunities.

It is one of the most popular survey sites today, and for a good reason. They have a thriving community.

They work with the best brands. More importantly, they also let you redeem rewards such as Paypal cash and gift cards.

The best part about Survey Junkie is its straightforward sign-up process.

They allow budding members to sign in with an existing Facebook or Google account.

This way, you won’t have to fill out long and detailed forms just so you can join.

Just click on the “Join Now” button on their landing page to get started.

Stan’s Gigs

Another community that I sincerely wish you consider joining would be Stan’s Gigs.

I constantly work hard to get exclusive market research opportunities from my vast network of brands and researchers.

You don’t even have to be in the US or Canada to join. All you need to do is sign-up for my newsletter to start receiving email invitations to the sweetest research gigs.

I also share product testing and focus group opportunities from time to time, so be sure to check your inbox regularly.

The Verdict

We have finally reached the end of the line, so it’s time to share my verdict for this Opinion Champ review.

Yes, Opinion Champ is a legitimate survey company. They offer different market research opportunities and reward their respondents.

That said, there are still a lot of things that I wish they would improve on.

For instance, it would be ideal to provide their potential community members with more information on their website.

I have also noticed that they offer fewer points compared to other agencies. This makes it more challenging to accumulate enough to redeem rewards.

As such, I highly recommend checking out other survey companies with higher payouts and lower pay thresholds.

Don’t forget to sign-up for my newsletter as well.

Good luck!
