It starts with a harmless scroll and a couple of clicks. Before I knew it, more than an hour has already passed.
Don’t you just hate it when you waste your time mindlessly following rabbit holes online? I do.
This is one of the reasons I started signing up for survey sites in the first place. I wanted to find a better way to pass the time while earning a bit of cash.
Fortunately, I found multiple Survey Squad reviews, and they all said the same thing—it is a survey company worth joining.
I just had to sign-up as a member and see for myself.
What Is Survey Squad?
Survey Squad has been connecting brands and consumers since 2003. It is owned by the US-based market research company Focus Forward.
The site seeks to help people who wish to provide their insightful feedback and opinions to brands that need them.
Most online survey companies have started as digital market research agencies, but not Survey Squad.
It is one of the rare pioneers that have begun as traditional interviewers, dedicatedly going door-to-door to obtain consumer opinion.
Today, its surveys are available in various methods and media. It has online questionnaires, conducts phone interviews, and even holds video conferences.
Unfortunately, these are only limited to respondents who reside in the United States.
You should also be aware that Survey Squad has recently changed its name and is now known as FF Focus Group.
However, there is no need to worry. The people behind the company, as well as their market research opportunities, remain the same.
Survey Squad Reviews: Is It Legit?
If there’s something I want you to take away from reading my article, it would be to always research potential survey sites before you sign-up and start completing online surveys.
Chasing false promises is a waste of time.
Asking “Is Survey Squad legit? Is Survey Squad a scam?” are entirely valid questions.
After all, no one wants to waste their time on false promises, especially if they could’ve been better spent elsewhere.
I read other reviews before signing up for them.
One of the first things I check to determine a paid survey site’s legitimacy is the Better Business Bureau.
While Focus Forward is not BBB Accredited, I still appreciate how the company handled each of the complaints posted.
Questionable companies won’t take their time to provide that kind of support and reassurance.
I also check out some blog reviews of those in the community and found them generally positive. It was at this point that I decided to join Survey Squad.
Based on my experience, Survey Squad is a legit survey site.
Survey Squad, now FF Focus Group, is excellent for those interested in making money online by participating in marketing research studies.
How Does Survey Squad Work?
Next, I will share the process it took for me to sign up as a member of their community to the point that I completed my first survey and enjoyed my earnings.
I’ll also add a few tips on making the most of your experience with them.
Step 1: Sign-up as a community member.
You should first sign up as a community member to answer surveys for Survey Squad. They are looking for three types of respondents in general. These are:
- Consumers
Survey Squad doesn’t have a specific preference regarding the demographics of its consumer respondents. They welcome anyone, regardless of their age, gender, and background.
Their only requirement is that the person is willing to share their honest opinion when participating in their surveys and other market research sessions.
- Business Professionals
Aside from consumer brands, Survey Squad also caters to B2B companies.
As such, they are looking for experienced business professionals willing to impart invaluable insight to other business leaders.
- Medical Professionals
Finally, Survey Squad has a growing community of medical professionals willing to provide informed feedback on various medical research opportunities, such as new medical devices and drugs.
If you think you meet any of these criteria, you should click on “Join Now.”
You will be led to the sign-up page. It is a simple online form that shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes to complete. After that, click “Register,” and you’re done.
You can expect to receive a welcome email almost immediately.
I recommend adding Survey Squad to your email contact list. This way, you can make sure your email invitations won’t accidentally get lost in your spam folder.
Step 2: Find available studies.
One of the things I like about Survey Squad is that it offers three different ways to match the respondents with available studies. Here they are:
- They send email notifications.
Survey Squads sends out survey invitations via email. I advise checking your junk or spam folder if you haven’t received a survey invitation email in a while.
Focus Forward also recommends adding Claudia Taylor (claudia@focusfwd.com) to your safe sender list to prevent further inconvenience in the future.
- Follow them on Twitter.
Focus Forward shares its latest studies on its Twitter page, @FocusForwardLLC.
The tweets will then contain the link that will take you to the next step of the study application process.
- Check out the Current Projects page.
Finally, they also have a directory of their available studies that you can check out regularly.
Some members actually prefer searching for the opportunities themselves instead of waiting for their invites via email.
Step 3: Get accepted for the study.
Survey Squad filters potential participants using a five-part screening process to ensure that only the most fitting participants participate in each study.
This will also guarantee the quality of the data that they’ll be able to collect.
I understand why you might be tempted to tailor your answers to their qualifying questionnaires according to what you perceive the brand is looking for.
However, I highly discourage doing so. Instead, answer each questionnaire truthfully. This way, it will be easier for Survey Squad to improve your study matches in the future.
Step 4: Finish the study and wait for the reward.
Congratulations, you have just been accepted to a market research study. Online and mobile surveys are not the only available opportunities that Survey Squad has.
They also have phone interviews, in person interviews, in person focus groups, and other types of marketing research studies.
You can also choose between single session online surveys and multi session online surveys.
What’s important is that you go into these sessions with an open mind and willingness to help improve your favorite brands.
You’ll then be adequately rewarded for your time. The bonus you’ll receive will depend on your level of participation, of course. Some studies will understandably pay higher than others.
How To Earn Money With Survey Squad
Redeeming your bonuses is easy. Just go to the Members section of your account and click on “Claim a Reward” to initiate the process.
You’ll be pleased to learn that Survey Squad pays slightly more than other survey companies. For instance, regular interview participants report that they usually get $100 to $300 per session.
That said, accumulating enough points for redemption can still be a struggle. Survey Squad requires 20,000 points before you can claim anything, after all.
Other Survey Sites To Check Out
Survey Squad isn’t the only market research company out there. Here are others I’ve quite enjoyed to make money online as well:
SwagBucks
SwagBucks has gone far from the Southern California-based company that launched in 2008.
They are now one of the most popular market research communities providing a wide selection of exciting opportunities such as shopping, video streaming, and even playing games.
FreeCash
FreeCash boasts that its members can redeem $50,000 worth of daily rewards. No wonder they’re currently trending!
Don’t worry if you haven’t earned about them yet. They’re one of the newer market research companies competing in the market today.
Stan’s Gigs
Finally, you don’t have to look far if you’re seeking online opportunities to make money.
You can say that I’ve gotten tired of finding legitimate surveys and focus groups along the way, so I decided to build a trustworthy resource for survey lovers myself.
The result is Stan’s Gigs. Joining my community is easy.
All you need to do is sign-up for my newsletter, and you’ll already be able to get first dibs to the best gigs, regardless of whether it’s surveys, focus groups, or product samples you’re looking for.
Is Survey Squad Legit? The Verdict
I highly recommend checking other Survey Squad reviews out there. It will never hurt to do that extra research. However, if you ask me if Survey Squad is legit, I’ll answer a solid yes.
I’ve enjoyed the Survey Squad experience, and I can confidently say they didn’t disappoint.
Don’t forget to sign-up for my newsletter as well to double the opportunities to participate in market research sessions and earn money in the comforts of your own home.
