There’s nothing I love more than getting free products, which is what excited me to do a 20/20 Panel review.
When I first got into the survey panel and freebie market, I have to admit I was pretty skeptical.
The concept of getting free products for giving my opinion seemed way too good to be true.
However, after years of exploring different opportunities online, I found many legit options.
Not only was I able to get my hands on a ton of free stuff, but I could also make money for my opinion.
I surely couldn’t imagine a better way to get some passive income than giving a couple of hours of my time.
That brought me to 20/20 Panel, as they’re a legit company offering many online surveys and focus group opportunities.

What Is 20/20 Panel?
20/20 Panel is one of the world’s leaders in market research, helping companies develop the best possible products for consumers.
They currently own three main locations in Nashville, Charlotte, and Miami.
They also have many online opportunities that people throughout the United States can take advantage of.
I found the most amazing part of 20/20 Panel is how they conduct their surveys.
They’re easy for anyone to participate in, as long as you have an account.
They also have a collection of real-time focus groups that unlock numerous benefits, such as gift cards.
The best part is that the majority of their opportunities are all online!
Even the focus groups are hosted in online chatrooms.
After giving your opinion on a product or service, you’re given your extra cash reward, but we’ll get to that later.
Overall, they’re an amazing platform with many legit opportunities to help you get some pretty incredible benefits.
How Does 20/20 Panel Work?
I was glad to see that 20/20 Panel was one of the simpler platforms I’ve used.
When it comes to signing up, it’s a breeze, as is finding opportunities that fit your interests.
You won’t even have to put your money into it, as signup is free.
1. Sign up for an Account
The first thing you’ll want to do is the registration process on the 20/20 Panel.
After giving your email address and password on the homepage, you’ll be brought to a signup wizard.
It helps to make the process incredibly simple, guiding you through making your profile step-by-step.
You’ll also find the signup page gives plenty of information, such as the benefits you’ll receive from the platform.
By navigating through the signup process, you’ll find the site needs pretty similar information to other market research firms, such as:
- First and last name
- Primary email address
- Primary address
- Date of birth
Another massive benefit I loved was your control over how much information you wanted to give.
I highly recommend completing the profile survey, as it helps to match you to the best possible offers.
However, you can choose to complete your registration at any time, making the process even simpler.
Once you’ve answered everything for your profile, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
Most accounts will have a fully verified account within eight hours, allowing you to browse great panel surveys and groups.
2. Browse Paid Opportunities
There are plenty of great ways to earn cash and other rewards through 20/20 Panel.
All you have to do is find what offers best suit your interests.
There are five different types of “studies” you can sign up for on the platform:
- Quick Surveys
Just as you would expect, the surveys are quick and entirely online.
- Surveys + Online Interviews
With this offer, you’ll be given a link to a survey.
If you qualify for the study after answering the questions, you’ll be connected with a moderator.
Your moderator will do a quick chat interview.
- Online Discussions
With online discussions, you’ll be in a digital forum where a moderator will ask questions.
These offers can take up to 45 minutes/day and are done in real-time, so you’ll have to stay logged in until the chat is finished.
- Online Webcam Discussions
The webcam discussions can easily be done from home and are in a meeting-style format.
You’ll be connected with other panelists or be able to do a one-on-one interview with a moderator.
On average, I found these discussions could take up to 1.5 hours.
- In-Person Studies
I always find in-person focus groups can be a great change of pace.
At 20/20 Panel, they have in-person opportunities if you live in Charlotte, Nashville, or Miami.
3. Sign up for Offers
The next step to participating in different studies and groups is to start signing up!
My favorite way to find the top offers is to let the 20/20 Panel dashboard do it for me.
By adding information to my profile, the database will connect you with the best offers based on your answers.
From there, you must click on a survey or focus group and enter the required information.
If you “pass” the pre-qualifying survey, you’re automatically directed to the actual offer where you can earn benefits.
One major tip I can offer is that some opportunities may take a couple of days for approval.
For example, if I qualified for a chat opportunity, they usually started immediately as long as there was space in the group.
Focus groups took a little longer before getting connected, usually a couple of hours.
Sometimes, I would get a call from a recruiter a day or two afterward to give me information about what to expect from the focus group.
4. Get Paid for Your Opinions
Once you’ve had the chance to finish the offers available to you on your dashboard, it’s time to reap the rewards.
The payment method from 20/20 Panel varies depending on the market research firm you’re working with.
Some gave me gift cards, while others gave me direct payments through PayPal.
I also found the in-person opportunities paid with pre-paid credit cards (MasterCard) rather than cash.
Another option I could choose from is if I wanted a digital pre-paid Visa.
Compared to other market research platforms, I found way more payment choices, which was incredibly convenient.
5. Keep Updating Your Profile
With most marketing research firms, the job would be done by now.
However, I found the best way to get the most surveys and focus groups on this platform is to keep your info updated.
On the “Edit Profile” page, always refresh the information (I try to do it monthly).
The more information the platform has, the better your chances of being picked for opportunities.
If you change jobs, add them to your profile; if you move, be sure to change your address.
Even the most insignificant things, like the electronics you have in your home, can unlock numerous additional surveys.
How to Earn Money With 20/20 Panel
Earning money with 20/20 Panel depends entirely on the marketing company you’re surveying for.
I’ve had situations where I’ve been mailed a check while other opportunities allowed me to connect my PayPal account.
To be honest, PayPal is my payment type of choice because it’s the easiest and safest.
You might also be offered digital gift cards or pre-paid credit cards, which can be convenient.
However, I found that pre-paid credit cards usually take a percentage per transaction.
Another way you can earn from surveys and focus groups is to get points for 20/20 Panel.
The points you earn can go towards seven different types of gift cards, including:
- Starbucks
- Tango
- Amazon.com
- Best Buy
- Fandango
- iTunes
- Walmart
I highly recommend spending your points as quickly as possible because I learned the hard way.
After 18 months, your points expire, so I offload them as soon as I have enough for redeeming.
One of the more interesting features of gift card redemption is you can choose from five tiers.
Currently, 20/20 Panel allows you to buy as little as $5 in gift cards for 500 points or up to $20 for 2000 points.
This can vary by the retailer; for example, Starbucks cards are only available at $10 for 1000 points.
When you visit the “Redeem” tab, you can see all the available offers you might be interested in spending your points for.

Most of the offers you’ll find will be based on your gender, age, and job title.
They love working with specialists in their fields because they give professional opinions.
I always found the pay competitive, with most in-person offers starting at $100 per study.
