Curion/PVR Research Rating

3/5

A legit choice for doing some local groups and taste tests. You will get paid but qualifying might be tricky. Not a lot of online studies going on when I checked, so make sure you register for a few paid online studies.

Share post:

Is Curion legit?” was one of the first questions I had when looking into new consumer research panels I could join.

As a focus group fan, you can bet I’ve tried my hand at a fair share of panels.

With the ability to get paid for my opinion, who wouldn’t jump at the opportunity?

If you’re also interested in joining a consumer panel, Curion/PVR Research is one of the more exciting companies to consider.

Let’s investigate how you can earn money through market research, whether at home or in person.

We’ll also explore some more frequently asked questions to help you understand how Curion/PVR Research works.

What Is Curion/PVR Research?

Curion/PVR Research is a great market research firm that works with product makers across numerous industries.

They work with focus groups to test a variety of products from food companies, beauty companies, and more.

The best part that I found is most of their panels require very little time and are held in pretty comfortable environments.

The company itself is rather future-forward, focusing on industry-leading product manufacturers bound to make massive changes.

I found them to be huge fans of cutting-edge and innovative companies, providing plenty of great opportunities for product testing.

Some of the most common items you can expect to offer product evaluations for include:

  • Food products
  • Care products
  • Beauty products
  • Other consumer products

Is Curion Insights Legit?

One of the main things I look for when determining if a company is legit is its partnerships and affiliations.

Undoubtedly, Curion/PVR Research has plenty of fantastic relationships with some heavy hitters in numerous industries, including:

  • ASTM International
  • University of Cincinnati
  • Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences
  • Quirk’s Marketing Research Review
  • Marketing Research Association

I wanted to dig deeper to find more information about the job culture and what it was like to be a Curion panelist.

Luckily, I found their Facebook home to several reviews and an overall 4.6 out of 5-star rating.

Also, one of their locations in California garnered a 4-star rating on Yelp from focus group participants.

With a combo of professional affiliations and pretty positive customer insights, it’s easy to see how these reviews mean a lot.

They helped me feel more comfortable signing up for their consumer online focus groups.

How Does Curion/PVR Research Work?

Trust me when I say that signing up for some focus groups can be lengthy, but Curion/PVR Research makes it incredibly simple.

After completing a few fields, you’ll be off to the races and able to sign up for various focus groups in your area.

Let’s go over the steps to follow so you can also earn money for your opinions.

Step 1: Sign Up

First, you’ll have to fill out the introductory form. This form requires basic information, such as your name, email address, and phone number.

You’ll also need to choose your desired consumer panel location, so make sure you choose the one closest to you.

After signing up, additional screening questions will help match you with the best survey opportunities.

You’ll provide more information like your household income, employment, and relationship status.

Step 2: Wait for Eligible Studies

Now that your enrollment is complete, the next step is to wait to receive offers directly in your email.

Curion/PVR Research will only send eligible opportunities to your inbox, unlike other focus group platforms.

You won’t have to worry about competing with other participants on a posting board to find the best offers.

I got a few focus group opportunities within the first two weeks of signing up, which was fantastic.

Similar to other focus groups, I had to complete a second questionnaire to determine if I was the right fit for the group.

Step 3: Book Your Session

If you’re selected to be a participant in a specific research group, all that’s left is to choose a session time that best fits your schedule and confirm your attendance.

Fortunately, Curion/PVR Research has plenty of flexible hours, making it easy for anyone to attend.

How to Earn Money With Curion/PVR Research

After doing some extensive browsing, I was able to find there are two main ways to earn money from Curion/PVR Research.

The first is to participate in focus groups sent to your email. By far, these were the most profitable, in my opinion, offering up to $200 for particular studies.

The other option is to begin collecting Curion Rewards. With Curion Rewards, you can earn points that you can cash in for a Visa gift card.

There’s also the option of donating the funds to a charity of your choosing.

I was able to earn Curion Rewards in many ways, but the most common was completing screeners.

I would earn five points when completing a screener but didn’t qualify for a focus group.

Other ways I could get Curion Rewards include:

  • 25 points for my birthday
  • 10 points for finishing a profiling survey
  • 25 points when I took my first survey

Three Alternative Sites to Explore

There’s no doubt you can find a ton of focus groups on the internet, but three highly recommended platforms to explore include:

User Interviews

user interviews from site

User Interviews is an excellent platform with international focus group options for overseas participants.

I particularly liked how their surveys come in many formats, including daily tasks, multi-day research studies, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews.

I could even complete most tasks from home, adding to its convenience.

Respondent.io

Another fantastic option for local and overseas users is Respondent.io.

They were one of the highest-paying focus group firms I worked with.

Some of their opportunities were up to $250 per study.

We’re the same if you’re an internet browser that loves focus groups and surveys.

Being able to earn income for giving my opinion was one of the main reasons I created Stan’s Gigs.
